Wedding Paper Divas Giveaway

The month of November was very exciting at Hip Hostess. We had many things to be thankful and excited about: holidays, parties, family & friends, sponsor discounts and increasing readership.

Hip Hostess has been up and running for about 11 weeks now and we are very thankful for the opportunity to do what we love on a daily basis. We have been very fortunate to run across many talented and special people in our quest to bring our readers the very latest and greatest of products, tips and advice mixed with a few satirical comments.

This month we are proud to bring Hip Hostess readers our first ever Destination Wedding Invitation Contest. Wedding Paper Divas has been kind enough to offer one of our Hip Hostess readers a $100 gift certificate! The contest will run from December 8 through December 22nd. We ask that you envision your ideal destination wedding and then visit Wedding Paper Diva’s Signature Collection and select the design that best represents this destination. Save your design in an account on Wedding Paper Divas and then share your inspiration and card design with us in our comments section.

To help you get started I found a list of the Top 10 wedding destinations of 2009.

As for us, Brandi would choose the Grand Hyatt in Kauai with Floral Flurry Invites.

Amber would choose the Inverlochy Castle in Scotland with Color Burst Invites.

For a destination wedding, i'd still use these b/c it'd bring a little bit of home (DC) into the theme of the wedding

We’ve already booked our wedding date here in Maryland, but a dream destination wedding would be in Bali! I would love to be able to use the Woven Paisley Wedding Invites from Wedding Paper Divas to set the tone for the whole event. The ceremony would be on a cliff overlooking the ocean in the late afternoon and we’d dine on local fish and exotic foods and dance outside with lots of candles as the sun sets. There would be colorful flowers and I’d wear a simple white sheath dress with those same bright flowers in my hair. The best part is after the wedding, the guests could stay and explore the island while we begin our honeymoon! I think the wedding paper divas invitation I picked out would give just the right feel for this type of event!

I have already booked my wedding for TN but If I had the money to get married ANYWHERE it would be in Istanbul Turkey.
This invitation reminded me of a beautiful spot I found in Instanbul - http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_271.htm

I'd go for the Modern Whimsy invitations - http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_1896.htm

I'd use it for a summer garden wedding in Victoria, BC! We could tour gardens and have high tea...

I would use the Under the Oak Tree invites (http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_2260.htm) for a destination wedding in Paris, which would be held at a very lovely little park in Montmartre (near the Sacre Coeur) where my fiancé and I stayed on our trip there last year!!!

I would use the Sweet Seashells for a wedding in Newport, RI. I would have an afternoon ceremony followed by a clambake on the beach. Casual elegance in the shadow of some of this country's most ornate mansions. Love the contrast! Thanks for the fun giveaway. Love your blog!

I fell in love with the ‘Elegant Bamboo Wedding Invitations’. They are so clean and simple, but the design makes me dream of a destination wedding in Thailand… I picture a romantic and intimate ceremony with only our closest family and friends there, amidst an tropical garden or a Buddhist temple. Mmmm, now I kind of wish it were possible to have a destination wedding! But, alas, things aren't that simple when your fiance is in the Navy! :)

My ideal destination wedding would be Aberdour Castle in Fife, Scotland. It has a huge courtyard and garden with flowers and trees. The castle itself is still beautiful and would be a romantic setting for a wedding. A bagpiper would surely complete the event. Lovely Lilies Wedding Invitation would go well with the event as it mimics some of the flowers in the garden.

I would love to have a wedding at a castle in Scotland. The Tartan invitations would be great! It would match all the kilts I would make everyone wear. It would set the mood for the candlelight ceremony, bagpipes and drinking beer out of chalices at the reception.

If I had a destination wedding, I would have it at the
Moana Surfrider in Honalulu, Hawaii, and I would use the Dragonfly Garden Wedding Invitations. I like the bright colors and exotic feel to them.

If I had a destination wedding it would be in Antigua, Guatemala, in the ruins of the ancient church in Hotel Santa Domingo.

I love the 'bold flower' invitation : http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_1508.htm?f=1

It fits the drama and extreme beauty of the flora in Guatemala.

The perfect destination wedding for me would be at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont. It is an environmental education center and working farm situated on the shores of Lake Champlain. The property once belonged to the Vanderbilt family, and the landscaping was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (who also designed NYC's Central Park). It is just gorgeous!

Wedding Paper Diva's "Under the Oak" invitations would be perfect for my fantasy wedding:
http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_2260.htm
The chocolate brown oak tree graphic would be reminiscent of the landscape at the farm, and the color would go well with the beautiful brick, wooden, and forest green-roofed farm barn, next to which we would (theoretically!) say our vows.

My dream a castle in England with these invitations Toile Border Invitations.

My absolute fantasy destination wedding would be to Markree Castle in County Sligo, Ireland. It's a place that is peaceful and relaxing, but at the same time majestic and distinctive. I can just picture family and friends gathered in the lush surroundings.

I would invite guests to this once in a lifetime event with the Love and Faith Invitations (http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_1826.htm). They would be perfect because the cross has a Celtic feel, and the color can be customized to Hunter Green.

I would love to have a destination wedding in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The ceremony would be in an old historic church and the reception would feature tango dancers as well as Chamamé artist Chango Spasiuk. I think the Bold Floral Wedding Invitations in Black would be great. They are warm, regal and very dramatic.

I would use the Floral Flurry in orange for a wedding in Hawaii. And, I'd make sure that all of my guests had tropical drinks in their hands and were being served from platters of fresh pineapple.
