Back To School

You can't escape back to school at this time of year. Even if you don't have any children headed to school it is still a time of year, that if nothing else, will make you feel nostalgic.  The thrill of picking out new shiny school supplies and your new school wardrobe.  The thought that summer is on its way out and crisp cool morning air is on its way in.  I decided that I wanted to join in the fun and get something scholarly.  How about a pair of chic bookends.

Crazy for Quatrefoils

Obviously I become a little restless in the Spring and try to start adding new pieces here and there into my home, party ideas and sometimes even wardrobe. Last week I was checking out feathers but this week the I am lovin’ the Quatrefoils.

If I was being perfectly honest with you…I’ve never even heard this word before. But now that I know it exists…I’m all over it!

Nesting Season

It’s out with the bird and in with the plume! The experts are saying time to add feathered items into your décor and accessories. Abby Kellent, a Miami based stylist suggests that feathered items bring rustic charm, but they are more subtle than decorating with bird motifs.

The suggestion is for a sophisticated feel, outfit your desk or table with a cluster of objects in a neutral palette borrowed from nature. Even one bold piece makes a statement.
