Summer Drinkin'
Every summer I buy a new set of "summer drinkin" glasses. I actually have a bit of a problem with drink ware but seasonal buying helps me keep it in check. I love the Hawaiian feel of these glasses and the fact that the stainless steel interior will keep my beverage super frosty. What do you think? Do you have a seasonal must have?

Spotted: Still Life Bowl
This is a bowl for fruit that is meant to look like a still life picture framed. I think it could look awesome in a very modern apartment. I think I would do 3 of them and set them side by side with different color fruit. I like that it is unique...now to figure out how to incorporate this into an event. What do you think?

Spotted: Fantastic Unplastic Tray
Don't ask me why...but I love this new tray. It's just like the plastic tray that store bought cookies come in but it's glass. I love the irony of pulling out a fresh baked batch of cookies and placing them in the lovely Fantastic Unplastic Tray. I also think this could be a very cool addition to a dessert buffet table. What do you think?

Spotted: Everlane
A new concept in buying clothes has arrived by the name of Everlane. Does this happen to you? You're shopping and you run across a t-shirt that is so soft that you actually think about paying the $60 price tag. But then you come to your senses and realize that you are going to spill your salad dressing down your front the first day you wear it. This happens to every one of my t-shirts but when you pay $6 a pop it doesn't cause a panic. Long story short...Everlane has cut out the middle man and is willing to sell you $15 super soft t-shirts with lots of designer details. Check it out, it's not often someone offers you the best of both worlds.

Spotted: Umami To Go
Do you want to be totally cool next time you eat your sushi. How about picking up some of these little fish soy sauce's from Little Soya. It's totally cute plus you know that you are definitely getting the low sodium soy sauce. I got my eye on a couple restaurants that I am pretty sure are pulling the switcheroo. Now thanks to these little beauties I can eat my favorite sushi and won't have to worry about blowing up like a balloon the next day. Win Win.

Spotted: Barkboard Rustic Chalkboard
I spotted this awesome combo at Olive Manna. Now I went through phases with both chalkboards and the rustic tree inspired look but have since moved on. I must say though the combo is making me reconsider. What I love most about this piece is the versatility. It could be used as signage, a tray for cheese and appetizers or loaded up with lovely mismatched vases for a centerpiece. The best part is no need for storing you can hang it on your wall for all kinds of lists and inspirational quotes until your next get together.

Spotted: Peterboro Insulated Baskets
My husband will tell you that anytime we do any kind of outdoor entertaining I always spend at least 15 minutes trying to figure out how to hide the cooler. It's a bit of a pickle because most of the time it needs to be easily accessible. But nothing is as ugly as a big red igloo cooler in the middle of your perfectly planned party. That's why when I spotted Peterboro coolers I actually did a little raise the roof move, luckily I was home so no one saw the move that usually requires at least a 6 pack! Check these out.

Spotted: Bee Clutch
So, I have been looking for ways to incorporate color into
my summer wardrobe. I love when I see
other people wearing the bright neon yellows and greens that are hot this
season. But let’s face it, when I try it
on I become a little self conscious and it always end up going right back on
the hanger quickly. That is why I was so
excited to see this Bee Clutch. It looks
small in this photo but check out the link and you’ll see it has some substance
to it. This is my solution, a cute pop
of bright yellow that will go with almost any outfit. It would be great for summer weddings and
parties.
It’s funny how I use to not want to buy things from the U.K.
because I thought that it would take forever to get here, like they had to put
it on an ocean liner because that was the only way to get it across the big
vast sea. Meanwhile planes do fly in
daily and it is just as fast as ordering from the states…silly me!

Spotted: 3 Tier Cake Stand
This lovely 3 tier cake stand is perfect for outdoor entertaining. It seems that even though you are outdoors you never have a lot of surface space for setting out snacks, food or desserts. This practical little piece is $35 and you don't have to worry about it breaking if some of your flailing friends suddenly start to get their dance on.
I imagine it would look lovely with refreshing cups of watermelon, individual crudites with hummus and at the end of the night you could replace the food with candle holders and have instant moveable ambient light.

Spotted: West Elm Birdcage

What I love about this simple, modern bamboo birdcage from West Elm is that it can work in so many ways.
It's a cool piece for decorative interest in your home. It would make a great "collection box" for cards at a wedding. Or even add some flowers inside and place it directly on a table or hang above for an out-of-the-box centerpiece at any party or wedding. The options are endless.
And did I mention that it's only $39? Love it.
