Entertaining from the Pantry with Rosanna Inc

Entertaining.

The girls at hip hostess love entertaining. Expected or unexpected guests, it really doesn’ t matter. The key to last minute entertaining is to stock a few key items in your pantry and some great serving pieces to present them.

Here are a few of our suggestions to keep stocked that have a long shelf life and can be put together in just a few minutes.

Parmigiano-Reggiano and a few other hard cheeses-

This can be added to an easy cheese tray or tossed with pasta and peppercorns for a quick meal.

Crusty French Bread (you can freeze)

Thaws at room temperature in about an hour and can be cut into slices, topped with olive oil and salt and pepper, and baked at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes for fresh baked crostini.

Tapenade

Set out as a dip or spread on the french bread for olive crostini. It can also be tossed with pasta in place of sauce for a more exotic flavor.

Piquillo Peppers

Nice addition to cheese plate or stuffed with soft cheese and herbs.

Top of the line olive oil and vinegar

Set out with french bread for dipping.

Olives

Great addition to a cheese plate or just set out in a pretty bowl.

Quality Dried Pasta and Pasta Sauce

Everyone loves pasta with a good red sauce. And you’ll love that’s super easy and quick to make.

Bottle of Wine

Keep a couple of good bottles of wine stored on its side in a cool place for last minute occasions.

Proscuitto or Salami

Great additions to a cheese plate.

Good Chocolate Bars or Tea Biscuits

Easy desserts in a pinch.

Quality coffee and or teas

A cup of either of these drinks with a little dessert plate filled with chocolates and/or tea biscuits is sophisticated and requires virtually no work or prep.

With quality ingredients and some cute bowls and platters from Rosanna your ready for the doorbell to ring!
